Introduction
Gas Lipstick (Mika Karppinen) is a Finnish drummer best known for his work with the iconic rock band HIM, where his powerful drumming shaped the band’s signature gothic rock sound. He has also played with the progressive metal band Kyyria, known for their complex compositions and technical style.
In the summer of 2025, Gas Lipstick joined Varjokoodi, a Helsinki-based rock band which blends metallic tunes and melancholy. He also continues to make an impact in the music scene as a drum teacher while also offering drum tuning services.
